With a small turnout for the Glen Neibel Classic and USAC dropping pavement sprints, will we be looking at a short field for this year's Little 500?

19 cars entered already. Really don't think you will see a short field. Several guys have cars that only run in this race each year. Also not many of the wing guys on that list yet. Several of them will not enter until the week of the event. You only save $25 by entering early.

The starting field is made up of 33 cars. You can be assured they'll be at least that many.

I don't think you need be concerned, as I do know of several cars coming from Florida that were not entered last year, and some new cars and drivers, again from Florida. A "little" gift from The Sunshine State.
Also, some of the drivers that raced the USAC Pavement Series are already over in the Must See Racing group now - the Swanson brothers, for instance. So, the demise of USAC pavement actually benefitted the Must See Racing group, as opposed to hurting it, or causing concern for the future of pavement sprint car racing.
Bottom line - "Don't worry, be happy!"

If anything, the field has gotten stronger over the last few years. And I see no reason it won't continue to get better even with USAC dropping the pavement sprints. What a great race!!

Never been to the LIttle 500. Been to Anderson for some late model shows but never to the sprints. Not much of a sprints on asphalt fan but may just give it a shot this year.
