Hi im new to midget racing and am chasing advice and assistance in cornering.

Do i drive the car into the corner and accelerate through the corner using the accelerator or advice given was to use the brake to pull the car into the corner.

On occassions im missing the apex and find im having to ovr correct the car to get through the bend.

Interested on your driving styles.

Regards
PJ

Depends on track conditions, but in my opinion you should drive through the entrance of the corner and set the car under throttle then use the brakes to help with the car (If needed).

If you drive to the corner, roll out of the throttle and try and turn the car with the brakes and then try and give it throttle, often you'll find the car too tight on entry and then you have to reset it with the throttle and the steering wheel to get it to turn.

Many times a driver will complain that the car is loose from the middle of the corner out, when in reality it is too tight because of corner entry and it gets loose because the driver "shook" it loose to get it to turn.

Typically, you want to steer the car with the throttle more than with your hands.
