The New Lawrenceburg Speedway Plans on a grand opening on May 17th with the World of Outlaws Late Models. We also plan on having a open practice a few day before the 17th. Stay tuned for more info soon. If you have tickets bought for the May 3rd race they will be good for any regular show in 2008. More pictures are in the photo gallery.
In the meantime check out the Lawrenceburg Chevrolet Sprints and more racing at Twin Cities Speedway. For more info log onto www.twincitiesracing.net |

I really hope I 'm wrong and it's just an optical illusion, but it appears as if the grandstands are way to close to the track. Especially at the speeds the cars will be running.
Same for the bathroom/concession area in one. I'm not trying to be negative and I realize I don't have a dime in it, but the photos are a little scary looking. Hopefully it looks different in person. Beautiful rock walls and concrete paths though. |

I have seen the seen the new track and the access ways .I believe its an optical illusion .I feel that there is plenty of safety space for the spectators.

We stopped in on the way to Brownstown on Saturday and all I can say is "WOW".
The pictures do not do this place justice. If it turns out to be a racy as it looks the fans will definetly get their money's worth. We will be at the practice night if it doesn't conflict with a USAC scheduled race. I can't wait to get on that track. Rob Hoffman |

I've been going down to check it out from time to time, LEADERS EDGE, and I actually believe it will be safer for the spectators than the old format. The way the place is designed, I think it will take a real fluke for something like that to happen. Anything is possible, of course, but I think once you go down and look it over, your concerns will be assuaged.
