Man, that would cool as hell. They'd pack that place, if that happened. It would be a just reward for a track that's been stellar ever since he shut down that week and installed all that new drainage. I'm ready for the sprint car version of the Clauson-Larson Instant Classic we saw during Midget Week.

The USAC Sprints were scheduled on 7 May. I think the race was cancelled on 5 May but probably would have rained out anyway. There were heavy storms in the area on Saturday.

I may take a beating over this idea, but lets be realistic here, it doesn't take much rain for Terre Haute to rain out. And with USAC having to promote it there's a lot of work for them to do; track prep, organizing everything, etc. Why not run Putnamville friday and saturday night? With Putnamville's better drainage even if they got some rain, theres a better chance of getting it in, than if it rained at Terre Haute at all. Theres a lot more to do track preparation-wise for a half mile compared to a quarter mile. Make the weekend one big event! Everybody could camp, maybe some sponsors would step up and do some bonuses for the drivers with the best combined finishes for both nights. Or if you participate both nights have a drawing for that for fuel or tires, that way it'd include everybody in a chance to win prizes.

Saturday night the 10th is the Patriot 100 For Mods paying $3,000.00 to win would USAC run not being the main Class because I am sure that night the Mods Will be Top Class which they should it has been on the schedule all year.

But Friday Night the 9th USAC Show would be a Great idea

I understand that saturday is the Patriot 100, but that doesn't mean you can't run USAC sprints the same night. Heck, why not run the modifieds friday night also and pay $1500-$2000 to win, then you can make it a big weekend for everybody.

Sorry but you obviously didnt see the track for the sprint feature after the Patriot 100 last year.
