Rain on track should have not restart Danica spins out in front of everyone crashes Will Power he goes off arguing with everyone cause it was a bad call to start as wet as it is! I guess he was getting booed and gave them and everyone watching ESPN the Double Birds! LOL That's gonna cost him big in fines as well as points!

Rain stopped now still 5 laps to go might tune in going to interview Power in a minute they just said!

Rain out now horrible call all drivers were asking not to start the race but CEO said go Great call Barnhart!

Lots of $$ in the wall on the front stretch to decide the track was too wet to race on...

And what about that Dario wreck. It was clear as day to me (along with many TF members) that DF moved down on sato and took himself out. The weird part was not that we saw the BMC Dario again for the 100th time this year. Along with telling the camera that the 5 came up on him. But, that sato gave himself the blame. Weird race from state to finish. Not too often you see the double bird on TV. They must not have explained to will that his actions were not politically correct.

This was a horrible call. Barnhart claims none of the teams contacted race control of the wet conditions. I would doubt this was the case until I hear it from the teams themselves. Mike Andretti said he was talking to the officials about holding off throwing the green. If that is the case Barnhart has some splainin' to do. As bad as the track record of officiating has been under Barnhart there surely will be some repercussions as a result of this. If not, major American open wheel racing will take another body shot in the area of credibility and they can't take many more shots in that area.

NASCAR did the same thing at Charlotte a number of years ago during the all-star race and no one took any heat at all for that cluster ____ either. But then, that's NASCAR.

It's too bad this race had to end this way, especially on national network TV.

Barnhard did the only thing he could do after such a screw up. Revert back to the previous line up and then take the blame. The IRL officials at least should have contacted one or two of the crew chiefs, obviously not the leader though, and asked their opinion. Even USAC will ask over the radio for a thumps up or down from a couple of the drivers if there is a question on something....And you know NASCAR would NEVER admit blame because the TV coverage would never have discussed it on air.......

I was there today. Strange race to say the least. I couldn't believe it when the flagger gave them the signal to line up. It was a very light rain but it was obvious they should not have gone green.

Hmmm. OK. Not completely clear on the entertainment value of a 1/4 of a million in wrecked racing equipment, but it's all in the eye of the beholder. The double finger by Power might bring a smile to the face of some but he looked like an 8th grader who had just been given a detention.
