(Macon,IL) The POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Micro series Macon Micro Nationals, with 33 starters lining up in 11 rows of three and paying $2000 to win along with the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midgets will race Saturday Night, July 23rd, at Macon(IL)Speedway.
"The Macon Nationals are one of the crown jewels on our schedule", Joe B. Miller said."It's tight and fast racing at Macon, and pretty exciting with 33 cars on the track!" Thankfully they have transponder scoring, having to rely on hand scoring with 33 cars on the track at once would have to be a nightmare. (Then again, the Little 500 was manually scored for years, to which I can only say "yikes!")

Steve and I will be there with the midget, hoping to make the show. Even though it's gonna be hot, it ought to be an excellent show. Seems like the last 6-7 times we've tried to run there, mother nature won. Certainly hope thats not in the cards this time.
