GREENSBURG'S RONNIE COMBS WINS AT SHELBYVILLE

On Saturday evening July 23rd the Midwest TQ Racing League
presented by Vincennes University competed at the Shelby County Fairgrounds in Shelbyville, Ind. where Ronnie Combs won his third feature of the year.
The action was red flagged before a lap had been completed due to a multi car accident involving defending champion, and current point leader, Tate Martz, Jason Willis and Cody Kiewitt that sent Willis flipping wildly in turn two after his throttle hung open. Willis was not injured but both he and Martz were unable to resume.
Combs, who started on the pole, led all twenty-five laps in the Tony Stewart Racing Busy Bee Realty/Acro Engineering/Greensburg Autosound Beast Honda to score the win over Chris Mann, Rick Robinson, Bobby Walton and Cody Kiewitt. Logan Arnold, Chad Rouse, Nick Speidel, Zach Cougill and Caleb Faulkner rounded out the top ten.
Martz set quick time with a lap of 17.727 seconds in qualifications and Robinson won the Jackson Oil & Solvents Duel for Fuel. Cougill and Mann won the qualifying races and Martz, Willis and Combs were the heat winners.
Kiewitt was the highest finishing rookie earning the Tony Stewart Racing Rookie of the Race. Brett Hankins, who broke a driveline in his heat race, was the Duane & Sonja Alexander Hard Luck Driver. Robinson won the drawing for the $50 Jackson Oil & Solvents gift certificate.
Due to a scheduling conflict there will be no three-quarter midget racing at the Marion County Fair on Monday July 25th.
