Heading back East from Iowa this weekend? Maybe you could use a little extra travel money, or need to get some laps in before next Saturdays USAC National midget race at the Grundy County Speedway?

The 1/3-mile paved oval Grundy County Speedway, in Morris, Illinois, is host to the 7th Annual Carter/Anderson Classic this Saturday, June 25th. The event, sponsored by Freakster’s Roadhouse, will pay $1000.00 to win and $200.00 to start for National midgets. The “Classic” will include a Dash for Cash, heat races and a 36-lap feature event for the National midgets along with events for the Dwarf Cars and Legends Cars.

Pit gates open at 2pm, practice at 4pm and the first race is scheduled to start at 6:30. Pit passes are $30.00 for STARS members or $35.00 for non-members If you need any further information you can contact Joe at 630-408-8465 or Bernie at 815-931-4408.

Best pavement midget racing in the country, barr none. Good guys, good cars, and good times! This weekend should shape up to be exciting. Plan on making the haul up.

Also, don't forget that the "Jimmy Johns Freaky Fast Qualifier" this Saturday will have the opportunity to take the "Winners Circle Challenge" and start at the tail of the D'Arcy GMC STARS National midget feature. If that driver makes their way back up front and wins the feature, they will take home an additional $500.00 compliments of Winners Circle Speed & Custom in Joliet.
