CLIO, Mich. – Brian Gerster turned in a dominating performance in a rare start with the MustSeeRacing Xtreme Sprint Series to capture the “Must See Twin 20s” on Saturday night at Auto City Speedway. It was Gerster’s first career win with the series.

Driving the Dick Myers-owned No. 50, Gerster earned the pole position in the feature event after winning the first of two 20-lap qualifying races. He was joined on the front row by Jason Blonde, winner of the second qualifier aboard the Planet Green No. 10. Gerster surged into the lead at the outset, with Blonde giving chase throughout.

Gerster survived a number of challenges from Blonde, particularly on race restarts following several caution flags for minor miscues. In the late going Jacob Wilson managed to wrest the runner-up spot from Blonde, marking a career-best series finish for Wilson.

Gerster was followed to the stripe by Wilson, Blonde, Jeff Bloom, and JoJo Helberg. The second five consisted of Travis Miniea, Mike Larrison, Hank Lower, Brett Mann, and Ryan Myers.

Aaron Pierce carried the series point lead into the event, but suffered mechanical problems in his qualifier and was unable to start the feature race.

Next up for the series is the inaugural “Must See Racing Nationals,” kicking off with two nights of action at Dells Raceway Park in Wisconsin Dells, Wisc. on Friday and Saturday, July 1-2, followed by the championship event at Rockford Speedway on Sunday, July 3.

I find it curious that Meyers runs only occasionally, with a platoon of drivers, and is almost automatically a contender at any event. The 50m is a well equipped piece. The drivers (congrats Brian Gerster on the win and Charlie's ntr at Toledo) are among the best out there.

One must consider the possibility that Dick Meyers finds the time to run Bristol in October...who would YOU put in that seat?

If the 50m runs at Bristol, my bet would be that you will see either Schultz or Gerster in the car. If I had my pick, I'd put Chris Hettinger in the car.... Just sayin....
