Trying to remember fuel consumption numbers for Copper World at PIR and at Turkey Night.
I'm thinking that fuel would be an issue running 50 laps on a mile track, OK 7/8 mile. Tires might be an issue also.
I say Twin 50's gives the fans two races to watch and also gives the crews two shots at getting the set up right.
Any other thoughts...

It sounds like a worthwhile experiment. I have been to other twin segment events and enjoyed them. I also like that they are running open wheel races in supporting role to Indy Car at this event. That's two weeks in a roe. To my mind it's a improvement over the NASCAR trucks.
