We have had a hard time with the weather this year, we have also had a hard time with gas prices just getting to the race track. The people at Brownstown did a super job above and beyond the call of duty last night. I understand they had over 125 cars there to race, I also understand they were up aganist a curfew. The entire crew at the track deserve our thanks for getting the show on the road. Most people would have said, well we already have your money we'll catch you later and have gone home. These people did not, they made the best of a bad stuation, they put forth the effort and got the job done. It looked like most of us back in the pits were having a pretty good time shooting the old bull, kind of reminded me of the old "snake pits" back in the 70's we sure had alot of fun in the ol mud back then.
Race people sometimes don't see all the work that goes on to prep a race track for the next race. After last night not only will the track need a lot of work to race on again the pit's will probably need just a little work for the haulers to park also. If it were not for that old tractor we would still be there digging more rutts. When you feel like bitchin, think back to the last best fun-fest that I've been to in years. These are good people and they deserve our THANKS. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK BILL, MARY, AND DOUG JONES |
