What are your thoughts on Indiana Midget Weeks?
Five days of great racing, what can you ask for? I enjoyed all 5 races and congratulations to Bryan Clauson for winning the overall points, he's the man. Kyle Larson put on a show for the fans and definitely opened some eyes out here. Sure would have been sweet for him to win the IMW points his first time competing in it and out here. Michael Pickens was on the move at Kokomo. Tracy Hines running the bottom to pick up a 2nd place at Kokomo was fun to watch also. 4 different winners in the 5 races, the weather stayed good to get all the races in, (thank you above for holding off on that down pour in Bloomington after the races). Looking forward to more great midget racing. |

After attending my first one two years ago, I said I'd never miss it again. This year certainly confirmed that plan. I just wish there were more weeks that contained at least 3 events. I can't justify traveling to the midwest for fewer than 3 races.

Made it to 3 nights. New USAC engine rules seem to put on a decent show, even with the engines bouncing off the rev limiters. Watching Nick Ween at Gas City in the B-main fighting for positions after restarting from the tail, then getting collected. Slide jobs in turn 2 at the Burg during the feature, Slide jobs at the burg? Tracy Hines bottom feeding at Kokomo, then Pickens getting the win, most excited I've seen a pit crew in victory lane in a while.

Im thinking this is the year Midget Week busted out and Earned a reputation of a must see event. Its been good in the past but for some reason this year the racing was exceptionally close and competitive.
For those teams choosing not to attend. You missed out on a great week of racing. It also seemed to me that we had a lot less attrition this year. Was this because of the Rev limiters? Would have loved to seen Cottle do the whole series. He looked great at Bloomington

Looks as if may have to add few more dates for 2012.

Everyone did a really good job. Tracks were in good shape, and how about the car turnouts! I didn't think there were this many good Midgets around anymore, as they are the stepchild of the sanctioning body.
Excellent racing put on buy excellent teams and drivers. BRAVO! |

Talked to the oldest O'Connor Sunday night and they are considering adding back the first few Sundays in August to make up for all the rainouts earlier. Lets hope so!!
