I think Wincester Speedway is hurting itself by running 3 other classes besides USAC and not having reserved seats.

Why should I have to get there 3 hours early to get a good seat? I have in the past and would in the future pay a few bucks more for a reserved seat. With a reserved seat I could roll in around noon and see qualies and be ready to see some great racing.

I also believe that with 3 classes besides USAC that Winchester is hurting itself.

People that want to see all the local stuff, won't pay the ticket price USAC shows get. And people that want to see USAC do not want to sit through hours of local stuff they do not want to see.

You can bet the promoter will blame USAC for a small crowd, it that happens.

I, myself and several of my racing buddies are not going to Winchester on April 20 for all of the above reasons.

Or maybe I am getting to old to do three days of racing in a row.

See ya at Gas City.

The only class you will have to watch is the street stock heats. I just checked Winchester's web sight to find out. USAC is running all there heats first then street stock heats then semi for USAC if needed then the Rich Vogler classic. This is one of my favorite shows of the year. RJ and Glenn have put alot of effort in to Winchester to bring it back around.

Your not going to a race just because of some support classes? Winchester really needs our support or it will go the way of Dayton. Support classes help the back gate. How do you thing the gate would be with only 20 or so sprint cars? The track has got to make a profit to stay viable. The days of the front gate paying the entie purse are gone.

I used to be the same way as you, but sometimes support classes are very competitive, more so than the premier class. Give them a chance.

Sometimes the support classes are tedious, I agree. Thank God Kokomo has support classes or there were times we'd never made the feach or consi, with all the work we had to do.
Better to spend our money at the racetrack than at Wally World , that rapes it'd employee's and brings down our economy!
Too much rambling, I know I'm getting older so I must be gett'in prettier!
