Races for tonight have been cancelled. Hopefully will get to start the season next Friday, April 22 with regular program of non-wing sprints, modifieds, streets stocks and thunder cars.

Well Eck when it is your $ you are risking then maybe you can go ahead and race in this situation. Its a tough situation for the promoter, I cant say as I blame him.

I agree John...The rain is coming..No sense in getting everyone up there and it starts raining at 4 o'clock...Why spend a bunch of money on fuel...From the HAR shop to Gas City and back cost $220 in diesel fuel for the truck and trailer.

I agree, good call. Remember, it has to stay dry until about 10pm...not just when hot laps start. I don't see that happening. I'd rather not go at all than drive to just see half the show. If I'm the track, I don't want to spend any money on a day/night like today.

Yeah, what are you going to do if you're in their position? You don't call it early and it rains in the afternoon or early in the show, you'll be cussed and second guessed. You call it early and rain does miss the area or gets there late, then that's a PR disaster. Or you don't cancel it and it miraculously doesn't rain and you're Nostradamus . Although very few would end up giving you credit for being such a visionary. I wouldn't want to be in their shoes, in a situation like this. They're damned if they do, damned if the don't.

After all the crap the promoters caught for last weekend I can't blame them for tossing the towel in. A lot of racing still to go this year!
