+Happened to notice a Billy Puterbaugh post on Facebook yesterday, remembered this race, and thought I'd add to the off-season oldies.
+I think this might have been Pancho's rookie year with USAC. Not sure about the car (18). Maybe the Forberg Chevy. Now, 40 or 50 years too late, I wish I had listed more descriptive info. Then again, as implied earlier, I was often busy lightening the load in my cooler.
+The Merle Bettenhausen ride (#2) was Willie Davis' sprinter driven to second by brother Gary in the '70 point standings.

Marv Please keep these comeing even dureing the racing season I love reading bout races I heard of but being 17 at the time couldn"t go to remember my mom would freak when I"d go to Bloomington lol Can see her now if told her was going to Eldora 5 hours away lol But really keep your results comeing Thanks. WOW!! Jim Malloy....rare appearance for him in a USAC sprint car and he ran pretty good.....he died the following May at the Speedway...Marv, this is one of the few sprint car shows you've posted on here that I didn't attend. I never saw Bill Puterbaugh win one...
