Then he said that Smoke and JPM are working on an underbody kit, Pattie wants to get some of the tire juice he got popped for years ago and Amirillo (S) and Dinger are going back to the hotel to work on a wing.
Said he thought they had the supers covered and they went a 13.90 something and he thought the winged car went a 13.60 or so.
Yea I think the "official" times are tomorrow after the Nationwide race. Said they only brought hard tires and now wishes they would of brought something a little softer. Maybe Pattie will come through for them
Sounded the the response was really cool as there were a lot of them who stayed around to check it out and they all said they would be back tomorrow ...
Word I heard was the Howie Lane #97 winged supermodified turned a 13.4 lap, that is a speed of 143.194. Tim, I wish BC and all of the open wheel guys down there all the best. It should be real exciting for everyone there to watch!!!!
I'm guessing that there were not any issues with the steering box binding up......how much did the stagger scuff hurt the strait away speed ??
Didn't seem to be any issues with the steering, That was my biggest worry, well that and tires. As far as the stagger question I am not sure as I am stuck in Indiana and only got to talk with Bryan for about 10 minutes and 8 minutes of it was him telling me how awesome it was.
Tim, I was the ONE sitting in the stands for practice last night. As cool and it was for BC, it was like I had a command performance in the Colesium! I saw him, then a super or two, then Blonde go out for an hour straight! A sight I will never forget! And because I have (poor) video on my phone.
He definitely showed he knew a good line around the place. He stayed up off the bottom most of the lap except for coming off 4 where he ran toward the bottom. He seemed to run almost a high diamond to let the banking set the car for driving off.
It was neat to be above twelve rows up at the flagstand and look down in on his first lap out each time. He was definitely locked into it!
As for times Blonde ran at 13.48 and a .62 the next lap.
The super pulled a .68 out of somewhere in the last round after raising the cars all night. The were still dragging the front going in, but picked up speed throughout.
BC was consistently 13.9 to 14.0 except one time when the car was loosened up and found 14.25.
Im glad BC got the chance to do this! Posted via Mobile Device
Tim, Any word from BC yet? All I have heard so far is Mike Lichty turned a 13.397 then put sticker tires on and turned a 13.2. It was also reported the wigned sprinter hit the wall, sorry to hear that. Hope Jason is all right!

Update, Jason Blonde got the car repaired and set a time of 13.134 as the time clock expired, Mike Lichty's time was 13.267. Sorry Tim I didn't hear a time for BC or the #97 supermodified.
Correction Blonde's time was reported incorrectly, it was 13.245.
