Hey, just giving everyone the heads up on the date for "The 66" Mike Phillips Memorial at Southern Illinois Raceway in Marion, Illinois June 24-25, 2011 with a Practice Day June 23 so you can mark your calenders for the biggest, highest paying Winged Outlaw Microsprint race of the year. I'll be posting more information as we go. And always feel free to check back in at http://www.southernillinoisraceway.com to see what's going on. POWRi will be helping direct the show for us. Saturday night's purse is already on the website. The format will not be POWRi's, but instead a Heat/Qualifier style format with passing points. It will be explained more soon as well. I've got a lot of neat plans for this race to make it the best, most memorable race ever to honor the late Mike Phillips!
Well, with the Shootout and the Chili Bowl done and over with, looks like the biggest and greatest race next up on the list is The 66 Mike Phillips Memorial. Mark your calendars everyone. It's going to be a spectacular event!
Great question! The entry fee will be $150. You get two nights of racing. Friday night's purse will be $2500 paying $50 to start We will lock the top 6 into a dash with a $2000 purse and they will be locked into the top 6 spots of Saturday's A Main.
