I need some assistance with hooking up my ladder. I dont understand why but the rear end is centered in the car. It's a 40 in car so the rear end is at 38 5/8. But I cant get the Jacobs ladder bolted up the straps are too short. They are a 8 inch's long from top to bottom. I didnt have this problem with my old car.

How are you hooking up the ladder? Are you trying to hook up the straps first then hook up the ladder to the cage or is the ladder hooked up to the cage and you are then trying to hook up straps.

The reason I ask is because if the ladder is hooked to the cage first, then maybe the ladder is too long for this car, making the straps too short.

Did you change cages? Some are the "spot faced" style which could make your ladder not hook up. The others are flush or even with the rest of the cage. The hiem will stick out less and the jake might reach better. Let us know what happens!
