Yes, the Tamale Wagon had that on its side. The late Alex Morales owned both Alex Foods and the Tamale Wagon. His son Andy still has Sprint Cars, but normally only races them in the Sprint Car portion of the Turkey Night Grand Prix with Tracy Hines behind the wheel.

Does anyone have any idea how long it's been since Alex Foods had their name on a Silver Crown car? I had the good fortune to see one of the "Tamale Wagon" sprint cars at Ascot in 1984. Later that year we saw Tom Bigelow clinch the USAC midget title at Ascot while Ron Shuman was winning one of his many Turkey Night races. Those were the only times I was ever at Ascot and it's too bad some of the younger IOW folks missed one of the most famous half miles of all time.
I've known Rob Kinnan, editor of Hot Rod, since he was 11 years old and lived here in Colorado. He was a gearhead then and he still is today and his folks live just up the road from the PAS in Moreno Valley. They have been to the Oval Nationals with us many times but I still haven't gotten Rob there. It seems the Ovals are always the same week as the SEMA show in Las Vegas, but I'll just keep bugging him.

A mod fixed the title, it did say that.
