The fastest car does not always win but in this case Bryan Clawson was the fastest and did win.
Starting 6th Clawson worked the bottom of the track of which the track crew had just reworked. After making the pass for the lead Clawson moved up to the top of the track and let the horses do the work .

2nd place finisher Brad Loyet started just in front of Clawson but never got any closer to the leader than two car lengths in traffic as the race wound down.

Matt Sherrell also made a late charge getting around Zack Daum for third place.
