Congrats to the Ballou team for sweeping the TNT races this weekend. Is it just me or does the hood on Robert Ballou's car seem uncommonly beat to hell. On one hand, I think it is kind of neat because its old school, the "It'll make it through the season" mentality. But good lord, that thing needs a makeover. As much as he runs out front you wouldn't think it would get beat up that bad.
If they can't find any money in the budget for a new hood then i'll step up and donate $20, although on the other hand they are winning and kicking arse.
Also note the cool Jesse Hocket "In Memory Of" suit
So what do you guys think?

I am old school and I just love the look of an old beat up "Fast" sprinter. Guys that put their winnings to make the car go faster, but not necessarily look real good, aka....Ballou.....Fox Bros.....etc are what it is really about as far as I am comcerned. Love the hood!
That is funny. Kurt Gross is another one. I saw that black 1x car several times last year, haulin' ass, w/ it's number looking like they just stuck some silver duct tape on the tank.

As much as that hood has been through its not in bad shape. I'm sure if you asked Robert getting to all the different races and being fast is way more important than looking good. Posted via Mobile Device
anybody remember back in the day,a car from Pa.,on the Real Outlaw circuit that was the worst looking sprint car out there??...but was allways fast, upfront n' wining all the time!!....he went by the nicname of "Scruffy"!!...was usually a white #(1a)....if you were able to tell it was white??....that should be easy...to many hints!!.......

I remember one night at Paragon mid 70's, Bubby Jones showed up in a 2 tone primer sprint car (the hood was primer red and tail primer gray with a #1 made out of white tape. It looked about as bad as I have ever seen, well you can guess the result. Wish I could show you the victory lane photo so you could laugh.
