Since I'm as computer challenged as they come...I had a question about private messages. This is probably a no brainer but I will ask anyway. Is there a way to tell if you have a private message from someone?...or do you just go to your profile and look. I've received several pm's in the last few months and never think to look and see. Didn't want anyone to think I was ignoring them. Thanks!

I always get a popup in the middle of the screen telling me or else above right it has an area that says I have so many unread PMs.
Maybe everyone's is different.?

On the right side of the first dark red stripe running across the page, you should have three lines of type. The first should say "Welcome, cowboyhar69". The second should say "You last visited: (whenever you last visited"", and the third should say "Private Messages: Unread (however many are unread), Total (however many you have received)."

Hope this helps.

1. Go to "User CP" above right below the ads.

2. Then on the left hand column, go to "Edit Options" under the Setting & Options" sub category.

3. Then go to "Messaging & Notification" and check off (if you want)

The forum can send a message to your email address to inform you when someone sends you a private message.
- Receive Email Notification of New Private Messages

If you are browsing the forums when you receive a new private message, the system can pop-up a notification box informing you of the new message.
- Show New Private Message Notification Pop-up

4. Then scroll down and click the "Save Changes" button.

Hope this helps, I prefer the pop-up and email notification, as I infrequently get PM's, and often notice them two months later....

After a short moment of being IOW Sheriff this morning... I decided to take an all day donut break.

Here is an image that will help if you haven't already figured it out.

Is that Sheriff Buford T. Justice? Sorry Bill, I couldn't resist.:2: After a while the nonsense needs to stop and hopefully we can get back to some real "Law & Order". How were the jelly donuts?
