The Dirt on USA Raceway

Kevin Montgomery Tucson, Arizona (June 9th, 2010) – Recent questions have been raised about the strength and direction of USA Raceway likely kindled by the mass of unsubstantiated rumors that have circled the racing community as of late. The existence of USA Raceway, property owners Pat & Lynn Robley, along with the promotion team of Benji Lyons and Kevin Montgomery are firmly in place and committed to bringing top notch racing at a top notch facility for the loyal fans of Tucson and beyond.

“There is absolutely no truth to the rumors of USA Raceway being sold. The facility has not been sold and it will continue to operate as a dirt track,” commented Pat Robley, Co-Owner of USA Raceway. “Benji and Kevin are doing a great job with the track and we are very pleased with the direction of there entire operation.”

USA Raceway will continue to strive for excellence with a great weekly racing program complimented by several marquee events slated in the winter months.

Team USA takes extreme pride in helping to bring stability back to Arizona racing after the devastating year of 2009 that witnessed the tragic end of the famed Manzanita Speedway.

“In no way shape or form are we changing our direction or expectations here at USA. Our commitment to quickly becoming a nationally renowned racetrack has been made possible only by the best race fans in the country,” commented Benji Lyons, Co-Promoter of USA Raceway.

Lyons went on to say, “We are constantly looking at different ways of raising the bar not only with our many national events but especially with our weekly divisions. We have worked very hard to create a schedule that not only compliments USA but our neighboring tracks as well from over 150 miles north at Canyon Speedway Park all the way down to Southern New Mexico Speedway in Lac Cruces, NM. There have been countless hours of working ever so closely with the neighboring tracks as much as possible which enabled us to optimize the car counts and Arizona's premier touring series' making a better show for the fans. The health of this sport is very important to me and we don't need any more false rumors or other far fetched ideas hindering the progress of local dirt track racing."

USA Raceway will return to action when the Barnett Harley Davidson UMP West Modifieds hit the track for a Father’s Day spectacular. A custom car show will fill the main concourse as top racers from the southwest fill the pit area for an ultimate Fathers Day event.

The UMP Modifieds will be joined by the Unifirst Super Stocks, Factory Stocks, Hornets and Dwarfs. The Father’s Day celebration begins when general admission tickets go on sale at 4pm for only $12, racing will begin promptly at 6:45pm. Suite Access Passes will allow race fans the opportunity to enjoy the races from USA Raceway’s VIP Suite. Enjoy the races in luxury for only $25!

I was at the Copper on DIRT this year.USA Is a first class track .It was a sad day for Tucson racing went Nascar bought the lease at Raven Raceway .Kevin and Benji bought life back to dirt racing with USA Raceway .Now Tucson Raceway wants to go back to dirt . This will only split the fields and hurt racing in Tucson . I 'll back Kevin and Benji to survive this struggle with continued sucess at USA Raceway Park.
I started my business at Corona Speedway .George Shots was promoter. Then I did 1 year with Dave Manes as Raven Raceway .Then Brain France eased in on Dave an got the lease for NASCAR .
I hope to be at the Western World this coming Fall.Good Luck to the Best team in Tucson Kevin and Benji. Dearl GIlbert
