The Wizard of Westwood was a giant among men, when it came to coaching and teaching young men to be successful. In basketball and in life. He was a man of principle and integrity and will always be held in the highest regard, when comparisons are made of the all-time greats in his field of endeavor.
I remember learning about his Seven Point Creed and always thought it was a good set of guidelines for anybody to live their life by.
John Wooden's Seven Point Creed:
-Be true to yourself.
-Make each day your masterpiece.
-Help others.
-Drink deeply from good books, especially the Bible.
-Make friendship a fine art.
-Build a shelter against a rainy day.
-Pray for guidance and give thanks for your blessings every day.
RIP Coach Wooden.
