Brian had the 77 number on on his wing. Jack Hockett (Jesse's father) has asked Randy Martin, who is a good friend of the Hockett family, to drive Jesse's 360 Sunday night at XX Speedway. Jesse and Randy have always called XX Speedway in California, MO their home track and who have waged many a heated battle there. For those who don't know about XX Speedway, it is a "throwback" track and all of the competitors and fans are like one big family. The closeness there is unreal. $8 to get in with kids free, with the races over by 9:30pm on a "normal" night. The whole town basically shows up on Sunday nights with more kids there than I've ever seen at any track. Jesse has been VERY, VERY popular there even to the point that there was a rumor going around tonight that the owners of the track may be renaming it to Jesse Hockett Speedway. It will be a VERY tough evening tonight for everyone who attends. I will be there tonight shooting pics, I will post them tomorrow night.
If you live withing a reasonable driving distance, I would like to urge you to make the drive for a very special evening. |
