I joined Facebook at the suggestion of my kids, since they are constantly posting info for each other on that site. Once there, I joined some Groups, including the USAC Fans group.

I just viewed a news item on USACRacing.com, and found my Facebook picture attached to the place for a comment below the story.

I know there are lots of worries about Facebook's selling its users info, and I guess this is an indication that the owners of any group you join have access to your info. I have stripped any useful info from my page; even my birthday is false.

In my opinion, Facebook is harmless....it's our responsibility to privatize our lives on the internet to whatever degree you choose....the more info you put on the net, the more vulnerable you make yourself...you can put an anonymous last name on if you want, and leave out all the info you choose. Like anything else on the net, it CAN be fun if people are smart about it. Good Luck !

Facebook is full of viruses, spyware, malware. You name it, it has it. Make sure your anti-viruse software is up to date. Good Luck.
