My thoughts.
21 cars, 3 more than they had in Houston. Not a lot, but it was enough. All 21 started the feature. Only 2-3 was way out of their league with a couple more struggling. Some drivers that are not usually that fast with wings were pretty good w/o them. Mostly 360s and mostly locals. The 360s held their own and may have even won. I say may have because they didn't announce who was and wasn't in a 410. The car Rilat won in has definitely run as a 360 in the past and Bacon's car also looks just like his 360. Of course changing engines in a sprint is not an ordeal for a good team, so these guys may have put 410s in place of their 360s. My personal opinion is they could have limited these cars to 360s and increased their car count significantly with no noticable difference in the racing action. It's not uncommon in this area to see 50 or more 360s at a race.
One thing I really liked was that the Devils Bowl only had one other class, the limited modifieds, running. The show started around 8:10 and was over about 10:10. Overall I am glad I went and would like to see more non winged races. I still like the winged races, but having both kinds available is a plus to me.
