Well if you have time and are a fan of history and all things haunted, let me recommend the Haunted History Tours www.hauntedhistorytours.com While I have worked out of Lousiana for the last 4 yrs I had never gone to nola. The wife, kiddie and I took our first trip to the french quarter while I was down doing some safety training and this was one of the things we did. It is one of the most popular tours in NOLA.

Make sure you go to the Cafe Du Monde in the French Quarter and get some beignets. They are mighty tasty!!

Getting out of town and visiting the Plantation Homes is fairly interesting, too. Of course I do like the Quarter after dark. . . .I have been going there to play for over 25 years.

Be sure to visit www.manvelmotorsports.com. 2024 Robert Ballou Calendars are available.

Last November was the first time I had been, and I went with my church then. I loved the town.

I probably won't have time. We leave Sunday night around 8 or 9. There is 13 of us from my church here going. We will be spending 2-4 hours in the FQ Monday morning before we can check into the church we are staying at. I want to be able to take a street car ride.

Had them for the first time last year....OMG. On top of revisiting the homes I worked on, can't wait to eat some Beignets again.

We went to the quarter the last night we were down there last fall, the buildings were great along with all the signs. My goal is to get backt o New Orleans in 5-10 years after a lot of the reconstruction has finished. And go for a vacation vacation.

Here is a few select photos from last fall.

For what I did last time was siding until it got too high for me to be comfortable. Then I helped on a deck.

I sided 3/4 up.
Then put the deck boards on the deck.

The house I worked on.

Three other people in my group worked with the home owner of this home and finished painted.

The good news is that 3 week after we left, the lady who owned the last home moved in. The better news is about a month ago, the home I worked on, the lady got to move in.

When I get back, I will have photos to upload.
