Brownsburg IN - Premier chassis builder, Bob East, has announced that he will build an all new TQ midget chassis in his Brownsburg, Indiana shop. Since 1988 when he first opened East Enterprises, Bob has built what many consider to be the best chassis in open wheel short track racing.
Since 1991 every Silver Crown Champion has wheeled a Beast chassis and the white nine midgets were the terror of USAC winning 10 championships and 120 feature events. The list of Bob's drivers reads like a motorsports who's who, including Tony Stewart, Ryan Newman, Mike Bliss, Jason Leffler, Jay Drake and Bobby East. Jeff Gordon drove a Beast to the 1990 USAC Midget Championship. The success of the Midwest TQ Racing League presented by Vincennes University has developed new potential for growth in TQ racing in Indiana and the need for new equipment. When asked why after a five year sabbatical of not building TQs, Bob said "There is new energy generated by the new racing series and it sparked our interest" East said the chassis would be all new and not just a smaller version of the Beast midget. The new chassis should be ready by the MTQRL test and tune day on May 1 at the Shelby County Fairgrounds. For information contact www.beastcars.com ![]() ![]() |
