USAC is launching a National Driver of the Year competition for 2010. It will count the top 25 finishes for each driver among the national Silver Crown, Sprint and Midget series, paying the top ten drivers with a $40k bonus for first.

Read more about it here.

Make sure they count the good with the bad as far as racing, a guy that runs everything should have a better chance than a guy that runs a few races and wins the races that he run's. Nothing against anyone in the past that has run a few choice races and won to go on to be voted the best, but the guy that does all the races should be considered the best. J.M.O.

YES JERRY, VERY GOOD POINT.
GOOD LUCK THIS YEAR AT GAS CITY & KOKOMO.
ALSO EVERY PLACE ELSE YOU RACE.

Other teams should have as much class as you guys do.

So where are the comments about this - good, bad, or ugly?
This is a pretty significant announcement...

Anything that puts jack in the drivers pocket without raising operating costs is AWESOME
