Need Advice on TNT Tour vs. USAC PA Tour

I need some advice. I want to hit some more new tracks this year and am trying to decide between the USAC Pennsylvania tour in June and ASCS Tour n Topless Midwest swing in August. I haven't been to any of the PA tracks and the only one I have been to on the TNT tour is Kansas City.
I'm sure that there have to be a number of you who have done both. What do you think? I live in Springfield, IL but the distance is not really a concern for either. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Frank Daigh |

That's like trying to choose between Marilyn Monroe & Jayne Mansfield. Either one would make you forget about the other!:rolling::kookoo2::rolling:

It depends on what the wallet says, and what your looking for,and how much you like driving. I'm tentatively gonna do them both. That said, I have been to most of the tracks on both series.
If you dont mind the travel, I kinda prefer the TnT tour. I like the 2 heats per driver. I like to travel as well, and you get to see some names that you might not see otherwise. Its also a whole lot of racing crammed into one time frame which is what I always had to do when I lived in Maine. If I was gonna do a big trip back then I had to go to as many races to make the travel costs worthwhile. USAC in Pa. doesnt have the same amount of non wing racing as the TnT tour does. 3 nights of it,then a winged race at the Grove if your so inclined, then Hagerstown. If I do the USAC in Pa. swing,I am planning on leaving after Big Diamond, and heading west to either Bloomington,or Gas City for the Friday night race, then heading over to Belle Clair for the POWRi Midgets. Hammer down at Belle Clair is more appealing to me than half throttle at Hagerstown. Thats my .02 |

Thanks so much to both of you! I'm going west to the TNT. Andrew, if you want to hit POWRi two nights in a row, MSCS and POWRi are at Jacksonville IL the night before POWRi is at Belle-Clair. Probably less than 100 miles between the two tracks.

Thats a pretty good stretch of driving to make it to Jacksonville from Big Diamond when your the only one driving.
Maybe someday I'll find a 23 yo sex kitten that likes sprintcars, has lots of money, and doesnt mind taking a turn driving the POS II van...... |
