The MMSA " Winged Warrior Tour " will be in action this sat. Aug. 29th at Twin Cities Raceway in Vernon, IN
The normal payout will be in affect, $1,000 to win with 20 or more cars, $600 if less than 20, always $100 to start, $40 for non-qualifiers plus the regular bonus awards for hard charger, first time winner and top 600 in the "A"
All upright Mini Sprints,1,000cc or less are welcome ( see the website for rules & other info.)

Scott Bradley holds a 39 point lead in the points chase with only 6 points difference between Lynn & Collin Ambrose fo the runnerup position, Alex Shipman has moved into the top 10 (9) with consistent top 10 finishes as of late, full points standings on the website.

The 5 races at Twin Cities this season has produced 4 different winners and runnerups with very close action amoung the top 5 cars at each race, look for more of the same this sat. Hope to see you at the track.

Bill, normally we would be there.....but until someone can tell me why the AMSA race was cancelled there a couple of weeks ago we will not be back to Twin Cities this season. That includes the AMSA race there next weekend.

It's unfortunate because we love the track.....we had planned on racing there twice over Labor Day weekend.

Now we'll stay home.

Phil I don't think you will ever get a straight answer why it was cancelled, I think we all know why though. I hope AMSA cancells their race there on 9/6 either way we wont be there.Hope to see you at KC Sat. Next to L-Burg this will be the biggest stage for us this year it is a great place

I've got to agree with Phylo82. I've only been racing mini sprints for about a month and have raced with both MMSA and AMSA. I have had a blast with both organizations. I hit the tracks I enjoy but with the last minute cancellation at Twin Cities I'll never support that track. I'll sit at home. Can't wait for KC. Never been but sounds exciting if it's anything like the Burg.

It really is unfortunate....we had planned to race there 3 more times over the next two weeks.

When we left quarter-midgets I thought we had put this type of B.S. behind us.....I guess not.

After this season the Mini-Sprint drivers and teams need to get together and discuss what we can do to make this sport better. There is a lot of opportunity out there to make this form of racing bigger and better than it currently is.

Maybe? this is was the reason or $$$?
The MMSA will be in action this Friday night, June 19th, at the Mason
Fleetwood promoted Thunder Valley Raceway in Salem, IN and Saturday
night, June 20th, at the Mason Fleetwood promoted Twin Cities Raceway
in North Vernon, IN.

MMSA members need to support Mason at these tracks. Not only does he
provide the MMSA a multi-date schedule at Twin Cities, but also
provides us several events at his 1/5 mi. track at Salem, IN,
including the "Open Wheel Nationals" in September. He was very
instrumental in the MMSA obtaining the two race dates at Brownstown.
Many, if not most drivers, prefer these size tracks. I strongly
suspect the future of mini sprint racing will grow and thrive on
these smaller tracks which are less demanding on the cars and motors.

I encourage you to support the MMSA and Mason on Friday night and
Saturday night. The future of the MMSA depends on your support. We
have been successful in obtaining financial support from sponsors to
maintain the best payout for mini sprints in the Midwest. With
support from you, the racers, the MMSA will be able to continue and
grow with even more sponsors in the future. We need to supply the
promoter a large field of cars. I hope to see you at Thunder Valley
Friday night and Twin Cities on Saturday night.

Thanks,
Bill May

We had plans to attend also until we found out it was cancelled but I couldn't get a reason why.
