The MMSA race at Thunder Valley in Salem, IN scheduled for Fri. June 19th has been cancelled due to heavy rain resulting in flooding of the track.
The best deal in town sat. nite June 20th will be the MMSA event at Twin Cities in North Vernon, IN paying, as always, (not a one time special) $1,000 to win for 20 or more cars, $600 if less than 20 (not more than 20 like those other guy's advertise)) $100 for first time MMSA member winner,(we have two so far this year) $100 to start, $50 to the hard charger, $$ to highest 2 600cc cars in the "A" and $40 to all non qualifiers, plus an additional $50 to one of the non-qualifiers in a lucky draw. As most area mini sprint racers are aware, there is a non-wing event at another area track on this date, and while I like those Guy's putting this together,( they need a place to race closer to home) I wish they had scheduled a non-conflicting date, I suspect the track would have a higher car count and the promoter would have made some additional money and perhaps the racers with additional sponsor dollars had some other date been selected. I don't know the motivation here, but. it is what it is and we will deal with it. I read on the AMSA website that they state this race is NOT- SANTIONED they do encourage the support of the non-wing event, apparently they do not respect Mason Fleetwood, the promoter at Salem and Twin Cities who has awardered the AMSA 5-6 or more races each season for the past several years when they encourage racers to go to another track on a nite he has mini sprints scheduled months in advance, I suspect this may develop into a negative relationship if it has not already, Maybe, non-wing and/or 35 raceway is in the future of the AMSA? I also, see that the AMSA has taken some steps, albeit, baby steps into the modern era of mini sprint payouts, It appears that perhaps, competition has influenced their operation, I'm sure Mr. Don Harvey appreciates the extra $300 he received on June 5 & 6th along with the other finishers from 4th place on down as a result after the MMSA upped the ante that weekend, good work AMSA and their supporters (wherever the money came from), Keep that up and some day, maybe there will be only one big-happy association, conflicting race dates will only delay that day. The plot thickens, stay tuned Bill May |

In response to the pm I received from some anonymous " cottle fan" if you expect any credibility to your "personable" remarks you to need to sign your name, so I will know who to "THANK" should I ever meet you in real life.

OK I'm confused.AMSA didn't have anything to do with planning a non-wing race at I35,but the information was passed along at Lawrenceburg for anyone that was intrested and if you want to run non wing go. We didn't send out emails to our members telling them not to run with MMSA like you did when we ran with the WOO,which was on the schedule since Jan.We also didn't schedule a race against you anytime. We still treat everyone the same member or guest. We enforce our rules the same for everyone. Our payout has always been based on 20 cars that is how we get paid.Jerry has been lucky to recieve extra the last few races and it was passed on to the drivers members and guests the same.I could go on and on about your club but I won't waste my breath. The drivers and car owners see and word of mouth is working wonders. In case you forgot my name is Harriet Pauley and I wish you would just stop bashing AMSA and just take care of your own club.
