Stan Shoff has passed away. Mr. Shoff was one of the nicest car owners i have ever meet. God speed Mr. Shoff

By the time Frankie got the team. Stan was just the money man, frankie ran almost everything till he desided to retire.

Hewitt and many others drove for Stan and I will remember him fondly for providing us with some great race cars and drivers to see. I heard the man was very nice as well.

Yes, both Jeff Gordon and Jack Hewitt left the 23s "unhappy".
One of my co-workers at "Big Yellow" was often Stan's pilot. (In fact, many of us referred to Stan's business as Caterpillar, Jr.) This pilot indicated that Stan's wrench (Anderson??) was the biggest reason for the firings of drivers. Frankie was his own Wrench, hence the firings ended.

A friend of mine is asking about the memorial service. Anybody have a clue as to whether it has taken place yet or any specifics?
