I was asked the other day what the total cost was to run a sprint each night. I didn't really have a answer but knew I could get the info here. Thanks for the help. Bob Bressert

It depends. Do you want to be competitive, or just want to go out and try to have fun?

We have an OK opp. not a stewart, kahne deal and if you figure engine rebuilds, tires, fuel, new parts to keep up and a few minor crashes, with pit pass and tow truck fuel it is very easy to average around $600-800 a nite. Now wipe out a car or motor and add an easy $10,000-15,000 its not cheap.

i thought i`d post on this question. the car you see in my avatar can be bought complete with all spares for 20 thou. and we might even throw in the trailer. it ran the ISMA circuit last year. If your a franchised car with ISMA your guaranteed 1000 to start the race. Most races they have are 35 thou. purses paying 3200 to win. As i figure our costs it`s 750 for 4 tires..200 for a barrel of fuel..a 6 hr. one way tow is around 200...pit fees about 120...for a total of 1270 per race........how does that compare with sprint car racing?
