What all would it take to run a 4 bar car on pavement? Looking at my options.

You just do what USAC has made everybody do.....get another car.

I thought, recently, there was talk about mandating the same car that was run on dirt be the same car you ran on pavement. Have not heard any more.

I always thought if that was the rule, it would bring more guys out to the pavement. I know I'd give it a shot.

USAC....rules that make make sense...haaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaa aahaaaaaaaaaaa

Depends on how far you want to go.

Typically you would lengthen the car out(Longer radius rods and shorter front and rear arms)from 86"-87" closer to 90". Run birdcages that allow you to lower the car but keep the proper arm angles.Add another LF radius rod. Run a birdcage that has a left side p/u for a clevis and that allows you to run a rear panhard bar.(You build a bracket that fits into the ladder mounts and you attach the rear panhard to it.) Move the Right side shock mounts out so they are closer to the wheels. Bigger front brakes and rotors.

Sounds worse than it is, but that is one way to do it.
