usac please bring back the sumar 100 if not at terre haute, why not at the fairgrounds?
Really miss having 2 races there. Hell, put it on the pavement at salem or winchester i'd love to see the champ cars there. Why don't announcers fill the dead air time with line ups (even the hot lap groups) they know who is supposed to be pushed out? Instead of waiting until the cars are pushed out and fired & then not running the list but running the whole spiel about the owners, the sponsors, etc. By the time you get to the last 3 cars you can't hear......well u know. Also i use a racing radio at the track & if i'm lucky enough for the scorekeeper to run down the lineups, qualifying, hot lap or any driver/car info on it the better off i am. The regular fan wants to be informed. I know because they ask me for info & i give it the best that i can. As many of you that know me, i will post the action at a race i'm at for you guys. Normally this isn't a problem with usac unless they just run copies & don't give it on the radio. And please, b4 anybody jumps on me & berates me for what they think is complaining, all i really want to do is understand & collect info. Plus isn't that why we all spend time on here. Thanks for your time, that is all. Sincerely, |

As an announcer, fans sometimes get sick of hearing us talk the whole time. They deserve a break to talk amongst themselves after we get done with reading off our sponsors and whatnot.

Why can they not say that so & so is driving the what ever car first, sponsored by so & so and has such & such engine and chassis? I realize that sponsors need to be reconized, but so do drivers that drive those cars. |
