A friend and myself have decided to open a race parts store, and just wanted to get some idea on what any of you racers and race car owners would like to see in it. It is going to be full of new and used race car parts, everything from mini sprints, TQ's, Full Midgets, and most of all Sprint Cars. We both agree that Sprint Car racing will be the biggest part of our business, but want to be there for all Open Wheel teams.

We will have a Buy, Trade, and Cosignment deal with different percentages for all.

We will be around this summer to pass out Flyers and Business Cards, so be on the look out for a new place to get all of your Racing products.

Give us some feedback on what you think Good or Bad.

We know about INDY Race Parts and alot of you are very faithful to them, and that is fine, but still help us to figure out how we could possibly out do what Bernie and the gang are doing. We are open to all suggestions.

where you going to be located at? not having to make a 3 hour round trip to indy for parts sure would be nice

Your 1st IOW post is to promote a new business anonymously ?
( no company name , owner name or location revealed ) ... you may want to revisit your business plan.

Well we are in the beginning stagies of the process, and we have a location just South of Indianapolis in Greenwood right off of I-65. As for the name we are undecided either Open Wheel Exchange or Open Wheel Direct. My name is Zach and I have posted on here before but was un-able to log in on my last name for some reason so I had to get a new screen name. Sorry for the confusion, but thanks for the post.

Good luck but i think this area is covered around here. Maybe go further south. Are you going to try and have parts at the track like Chalk and Benic?

I would think that this is a very tough environment ( race parts ) to operate and compete in ... as in market saturation of like product , etc.

As far as to " possibly out do what Bernie and gang are doing " , that would seem a lofty goal for a new start-up venture.

Rather than looking at what the competition is already doing , take a look at what they are not doing ...

Both openwheelexchange.com and openwheeldirect.com are available at Go Daddy for registration. Best of Luck !

I am not trying to "out do" INDY race parts, we just want to know what you like about what they do and what you would change. We want to get the customers view on the things they like and dislike, so when we do open we canhave an idea of what to expect, and be as customer friendly as possible.
