This Saturday May 2nd We will be increasing the Lawrenceburg Chevrolet Sprints purse!! We will pay $1500 to win and $225 to start!! G.M. of Lawrenceburg Speedway Dave Rudisell, is really excited about the increase. Dave also raised the OVS Purestock purse over the winter for 2009 season. This Saturday night join us at Lawrenceburg Speedway for "Scout Night At The Races". Any boy scout or girl scout, or troop leader who come to the races in uniform will recieve FREE general admission. On the racing card we will be racing the Lawrenceburg Chevrolet Sprints, The Budweiser UMP Modifieds and the AMSA Mini Sprints, This is also the AMSA Nationals Night!!

Lawrenceburg Speedway rain out policy:
The evenings events are considered complete if the halfway point in the racing program (Heat Races and Semi-Features) has been completed, rain checks will NOT be handed out. If the halfway point has not been completed, rain checks will be honored an upcoming regular racing program. NO CASH REFUNDS! Rained out features will be run on the next available week, before that evenings heat races

Just thinking, on May 2, 2008, instead of the BL'burg safety trucks pushing off at the burg, they were at Terre Haute pushing.

Yes they were there helping out, Lawrenceburg was not open yet this time last year so our crew went to THAT to help.
Sorry they can't make it this year, we will be racing on Saturday.

Just to clarify Dave's post. The admission prices have not been raised, just the purse. General admission for a regular show at Lawrenceburg has been $15 since the beginning of last season.

We had a few complaints that it took to long to get through the front gates on Sat. night. Apparently everyone came in at the same time causing some delay getting the crowd in. So i want to let you fine IOW's on some insider information. If you park over by the motorcycle track(behind the main grandstands) you can come through the turn 4 admission gate, there is a ticket booth there and hardly ever is there a line there. Also, after 5pm you can come through the pit gate entrance and get your tickets there. After 5:30pm all the cars have mostly been through that gate and you can walk right up and get in there without a wait. We will also have additional staff at the main gate in case the lines back up again. Again i apologize for any trouble you may have had getting in to the races in a reasonable time.

Yeah but you got clean restrooms with no wait and the grass is mowed . Section A is worth the price of addmission alone

Saw some folks have to fill out the family four pack they got from swap shop. I wasn't sure if the back gate was still there since the pit gate was moved. Thanks for the heads up.
