Well its S.C.O.R.A and I know VCS has a few shows planned that include them.

Al, Thanks for the interest. The SCORA Sprint Car Series is picking up steam. It was on hold while I had another heart attack and two weeks in the hospital. A race schedule is being worked on, but until contracts are returned, it will not be listed. I will say we have a race at the Terre Haute Action Track on Saturday, June 13. We have four tentative races at Vermilion County Speedway, Danville, Illinois. The first show listed there is Tuesday, June 9 with Illinois Sprint Week show. We have two shows at Kamp Motor Speedway, Boswell, Indiana on May30 and August 29. Stay tuned for Bob and Gail are considering adding more shows. Chandler Speedway is going to schedule some races and should have that worked out shortly. There are a number of tracks in conversation with SCORA on single dates, but until more definite information is available, we will hold tight. Thanks in helping scheduling has to go to J. T. Stapp, for he has been making many good contacts and is becoming a big help in advancing our cause. I will be at the Vermilion County Speedway drivers meeting Saturday at 3 o'clock, so any drivers wanting further information I will be available at the meeting. The meeting will be held at the Danville Toyota Dealer. We have over thirty-five drivers commited to run the Series and drivers licenses are starting to be purchased. At this time we have Dave Peperak, Al Thomas, Steve Thomas, J. T. Stapp, Craig Budde, Dusty Wright with 2009 Drivers Licenses. A good group of officials are being put together and a Series pushtruck group. I hope to have a web-site in the near future so fans and racers can keep up with the daily progress. The SCORA SPRINT SERIES is in full swing at this time and am working on scheduling and also a major sponsor is in the works. As soon as solid information is available it will be posted. The drivers list is up to 41 drivers at this time, the latest to sign up is Nick Landon of Michigan and a partiual commitment was received from Miranda Throckmorton the Midwest All Star Rookie of the year for 2008. Terre Haute race is looking better every day and the SCORA group may support the Eldora race on August 1st. J & J Performance Powder Coating of Carlock, Illinois has joined SCORA as a Series sponsor. This makes the tenth sponsor for the Series. We are actively trying to schedule races at a number of tracks. Granite City was going to schedule a race, but the date was in conflict with a current event. Hopefully, we can reschedule for that speedway. I will try to keep everyone posted through IOW until we get a web site up. Series current sponsors are: Bell Helmets, Hoosier Tire Midwest, Mike's Motor Company, Specialty Grafix, CAE Engines, Dynamite Race Cars, Ram Racing Enterprizes, Inc., Stephanie Strole Zumba Fitness, Embroidery Express, J & J Performance Powder Coating.
