Did anybody else notice the over abundance of the toyota powered midgets at the chili bowl this year? How come all of a sudden the big presence of toyota in midget racing. Up until this year you really only saw the yotas in the Lewis and Pedregon cars.

When 20 engines get returned to the shipping dock they have to find a new place to store them!

I noticed. The Wilke and Kunz haulers were a big sign of the change. The Wilke hauler used to be one of the full wrapped, blue, white, black and barbed wire trademark Mopar design, and this year it's completely white. Kunz's had a big Toyota logo plastered on the side...

I remember watching the debut of the Mopar midget motor, which was the the Chili Bowl several years ago... Wouldn't run... Was the Hans Lein 2 with Davey Ray behind the wheel if I'm not mistaken.

Honda will be here soon enough. There are quite a few guys on the west coast running the engine out of an S2000.

Stock head and block, with work done inside. AND ITS COMPETITIVE!

Davey Ray won with a Stanton Mopar on May 21, 2001 driving for Harlin Kittleson in the Red Deuce claiming the Memorial 50 event at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, WI. In 2002, he won the "Rookie of the Race" award at the Chili Bowl Nationals in Harlin's car with the Stanton Mopar.

Tim Keading running the Kittleson car at the Chili Bowl was the first one I saw race. It wouldn't run right all weekend.
