The App (pay) is down. They normally turn off the free YouTube channel feed for the A, but because the App is broken down, they’re staying on YouTube through the A.
Somebody let Dull know that he can watch the A for free if he can get on YouTube.

Thanx! I did get a notice outside of IoW. I spent my day around a few options. Had some deal (never thought of utube) "early" in the morning (it's kind of like fire stick or smthn, idk...I didn't do it) but then that quit working when I got back home around the E-mains. Went to the tavern (Crazy Times in Machesney Park...more of a stock car bar, but the guy has had FLO on all year). That worked for the E I saw and the Ds. I left and came back in time for the Streaming apocalypse (I wasn't surprised...this crap always fails on big nights...MavTv, ESPN2, etc were proly fine...but they don't pay for it anymore. FLO should refund every one that did pay their money...). I got the utube tip and we watched on our phones and hoped the FLO deal would refresh. Never did there. Oh well. I went home to check and shocked myself switching the fancy "smart" TV (not mine, but I can use it) to utube (1st time I ever did) and got it up within reason! It was cool! I'm just most thankful I don't have a 12 hour drive in front of me! I never could afford to stay down there on Saturday nights. I'll see what's left of all this when I start collecting social security whatever year I can (yes, I do pay in, for anyone that wonders...gota start saving for that yearly payment now...).
So, I feel like poking the FLO compensation bear again. If 77,000 viewers left FLO for You Tube, probably more were actually watching on FLO. Does that mean FLO should pay Emmett more money? We've been blaming FLO for declining short track attendance and money paid to the tracks. How many fans were in the Expo building last night? Over 20,000? Build and PROMOTE the event, plus local short tracks. The fans will come.

And if I remember correctly, Emmett stopped allowing the Chili Bowl to be televised over-the-air for quite some time, as Speed Channel used to show it. The idea was to promote the crowd and get the gate money going. That all ended with the modern social media, online streaming, and PPV via the internet.
But yes, you are correct. If built up properly one can take advantage of both the gate and PPV/FLO money. Makes one wonder what Speed Channel was paying him to televise it. Apparently not enough.
Chiming in live from the West Coast of Michigan.... Mike
We have to remember that Flo has other streams. My daughter is in competitive cheer and there were two large events being streamed on Flo this weekend. The Flo issue may have been a summation of all streams.
