BALLOU LEADS EASTERN STORM ENTERING PORT ROYAL

Port Royal, Pennsylvania (June 19, 2021)………Robert Ballou leads the Eastern Storm standings entering Saturday night’s fourth round of the mini-series for the USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Cars at Pennsylvania’s Port Royal Speedway.

Ballou (Rocklin, Calif.) owns a slim four-point lead in Eastern Storm after three-straight top-five finishes: 5th at Grandview, 1st at Bridgeport and 2nd at Selinsgrove.

Justin Grant (Ione, Calif.) stands second in the standings following a pair of victories this week at Grandview and Selinsgrove, and 6th at Bridgeport.

Brady Bacon (Broken Arrow, Okla.), the Eastern Storm champion of 2014, runs only 10 points behind Ballou in the standings while Kevin Thomas Jr. (Cullman, Ala.) is -34 and 2017-18 Eastern Storm champ Chris Windom (Canton, Ill.) is -51.

C.J. Leary (Greenfield, Ind.), the 2019 Eastern Storm champion, is sixth in the standings while Briggs Danner (Allentown, Pa.) leads the East Coast contingent in seventh.

Saturday’s Eastern Storm event at Port Royal features the USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship, 410 Wing Sprint Cars and an EMMR Exhibition.

Pits open at 4pm EDT on Saturday with front gates opening at 4pm, drivers meeting at 5:45 and cars on track at 6:15.* Adult admission tickets are $25, students age 13 to 18 are $10 and children 12 and under will be admitted free. Pit passes are $35.
