Is anybody else having trouble with IOW when running Firefox?
I can logon and read no problem but the "post reply" buttons are missing. The banner at the top of the main page is missing too. When I shut down Firefox everything is normal. Bill has been trying to help. Anybody with any ideas?

I run Firefox all the time at home with no problem. Are you actually logged in? Maybe try deleting all your cookies if it is not keeping you logged in.

Thanks, but I have tried that. It's funny but it doesn't seen that I go to the same place. No banner at the top of the main page. But, I can logon and my name comes up and show up under members online.
I've tried clearing the cookies and the bookmark, then entering the address. No change. I'm sure that it is going to take someone that is a lot better with computer than me to figure this one out.
Every time I want to post I have to come in through anything but Firefox/Google. It's like it is holding on to something that is causing the problem.
Thanks for the help, Greg

GregD,
This may have to do with your security settings. Go to tools, options and then content. There are 4 boxes that should be checked. If you are running protection software such as Norton that could also be having an effect. Turn it off and then shut down your computer. Start it back up and reopen firefox. Your really going to just have to "change the plugs" one at a time till you find the one that's bad. You can usually tell your security software if you have that, that IOW is an ok site.

I was having problems with firefox a while back. Not with this site though. I eventually found a small program when I went to my add/remove programs in control panel. When i went to remove it, it locked up my computer and would not let me remove it. This is spyware/spamware. I eventually, after trying for a few days decided to reformat and re-install (big pain, lost lots of information) but my computer was fixed. There are sites that put this on your computer so when you are browsing (even if you are not on their site) they get hits and can make more on ad revenue. It's a lot like looking out for squirrels on the race track. They are there, can you avoid them.
You may want to go and uninstall firefox and go and install the latest version of firefox. mozilla.com

Thanks to all that replied. I've got a feeling that I'm going to have to reformat. My son is due in this weekend and maybe he will have some luck. I guess that I'm too old to get a good hold on this.
