Maybe its my old eyes, but that looks like Gary Stanton's # 75 to me with Doty or Wolfgang in it, racing Smokey.

I know that Steve drove for Gary for a few races in 81, it was the last year before he and Karl switched to Gambler. I do not know what races he drove at but I will take the photographers word for it. That being said, the dude in the car does appear to be small for Steve.

I didn"t know Steve Drove for Stanton. Sorry bout that.

I guess when we think of Steve we all remember him fully matured and how thick he is even before he gained weight in his later years, but the first few years out of high school he was still fairly small albeit athletic.
The one thing that was not mentioned here is how much I appreciate these daily photos, thanks to all who contribute.
