Springs pack out to stop Pickens hat trick


NMCS PR, Auckland, NZ, November 26, 2008 - The National Midget Car Series heads back to Western Springs Speedway this Saturday night. Michael Pickens, fresh off his dominating performance in Palmerston North last Saturday will aim for a hat trick of wins in round 4 of the National Series.

Brad Mosen will look to follow up on his opening round success at the springs after a spectular crash left him pointless in round 2. Shayne Alach has some unfinished business after two great performances at the springs ended with two DNF’s.

Both Lance Beale, Carl Worboys and Scott Buckley will be looking to improve on their great starts to the season. Bill Clarkson, Graham Standring and Michael Kendall have shared a few frustrations over the last few meetings and will be wanting to step up another gear.

Wayne “Grengo” Green will hope to follow up on one of his best ever drives last week while NZ Champion Shaun Insley has still to find his best form.
Angus McLeod will be back in the #88 Synergy V8 following a strong performance in the #9 Fontana that he borrowed while Davey Ray drove in his usual mount last week. Mark Oudney hopes to find some consistency after coming back last week from his first night crash.

Chris McCutcheon continues his spectular rise in the midget ranks with some impressive driving and will see the return of Tony Fabish and Andrew Stewart.
Alvin Cobb continues his steady run will a frustrated Michael Brunt will hopefully sort out his engines problems which have plagued his season so far.

Dave Gick will look to improve on a solid top ten performance last week and Nick James and Dave Harding.
