A guy I work with told me that his family sold their quarter midget to the Newmans to be Ryan's first car. He also said that the car was later sold to Tony George for Ed C to run, and is now in the basement of the Indy 500 museum. Take that for what it is worth (third hand converation), as everything from a carousel to the holy grail is rumored to be in the basement of said establishment. The one guy on this board who could answer that question sadly passed away this summer.

Well what sparked me starting this board was a rumor as well. A gentleman had contacted someone and said that they saw the car with some he had and we actually have that car so figured it was worth a shot trying to figure out if our car is his old one. Ill try to get some pics posted sometime soon.

I've been down in the basement of the museum. What a spectacular sight! You can see the evolution of the car. There's sprint cars, quarter midgets, dragsters, etc.... It's awsome.

how did you manage to get to do that. I bet that is better than the museum its self
