Gas City I-69 Speedway will be running "open" midgets this Friday night (July 6).
National midgets plus production auto and motorcycle powered midgets may run. A $4,000 purse is posted with $600-to-win. If more than 25 cars enter, the purse grows to $4,300 with $700 to the winner.
We are promoting open wheel racing here at Gas City and would like to see strong support from the midget contingent, especially if you want to see more dates in Indiana in the future. USAC, POWRI and BADGER competitors, we would love to have you visit our great 1/4-mile, semi-banked clay oval. The program will also include non-wing sprint cars, UMP Modifieds, 600cc Winged Micro Sprints, Super Streets, and cars from the Midwest Oldtimers Vintage Car Club. Pit gate opens at 3 p.m. Racing at 7:30.
