This was posted by hhis sister on his website at 8:10 this morning:
JB Fans,
As of this morning, JB is awake and alert in a Grand Rapids hospital with at least one broken rib. He is being kept for observation. There is no release time as yet.
I will keep you posted as I can.
On a personal note, I would like to thank you for all your thoughts, prayers and concerns.
To the fan club members - I know that I try my best to bring you front and center into our family ... This is definately a bump in the road and I can not even begin to describe the events of last night - but JB tells me he is going to be fine and I look worse than he does.

Tough week for him, first he loses his truck ride and then rather than be racing the trucks he's at Berlin and gets hurt. Hope he has a speedy recovery, he's a class act on and off the track.

Thanks for the info from eveyone. We were at Toledo for the supermodified show on Friday and were planning on being at Berlin on Saturday. The weather forecast caused us to change our plans and head to Lawrenceburg instead. I always worry when fire is involved and I am glad to hear that Johnny isn't hurt worse than he is. My thoughts and prayers to out to him and his family. A real tough week indeed.
Mike
