Last Friday I would guess over 25 RR tires were cut by limestone rocks in the new clay by the IRA teams. Some teams cut a tire each time they hit the track, qualifying, heat and feature, that is over $1k worth of good tires down the drain. Something needs to be done immediately. Track workers even acknowledge it has been a problem this year. Hopefully there is action being taken as teams can't afford that kind of tire bill.

That more like $7,000 for 25 right rears.. and that’s before Hoosier’s 5.6% price increase that’s effective July 7th.

The IRA put on a pretty good show at Butler last night, quite a few teams travelled to both events.

The new dirt has been an issue this year, that’s for sure. Even the flagman got hit by a rock and went down during the Burton Memorial and they had to throw the Red Flag. Let’s also remember when Red Hill came back to life, they had rock issues as well. Now that track has been looking really good. Fingers crossed they get it cleaned up quick.

Eat dirt, be happy 🇺🇸

I'd for sure be wearing a full face helmet if I was on that perch. Sure they will get issue solved soon.
